OUR MINISTRY AND FAITH

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:18-20 ESV

What We Believe
New Birth Full Gospel Baptist Church begins with Jesus.
We are His disciples. We are a Bible-based, Christian congregation. We believe that the Holy Bible is God, a Word that BEGINS and ENDS with Jesus. ~ John 1:1-14 The Triune Godhead We believe in the One True God, who has revealed Himself as The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. ~ Colossians 2:6-9 Redemption and Eternal Life We believe that in order to save us, God sent His Son into the world. He lived to fulfill God's Law for us, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and rose from the dead so that we might have Eternal Life. ~ John 3:16 Forgiveness of Sins and the Declaration of Righteousness We believe that because of Jesus' death, God declares one Righteous and Forgiven. All those who believe in Jesus as Savior and are baptized are saved. ~ Romans 3:21-25 The Gift of Faith We believe that this faith in Jesus is a gift of God, given by the power of the Holy Spirit. Holy Communion As Christians, we believe Jesus Christ's body and blood are joined together with the Bread and Wine in the Sacrament. It is given to us for the forgiveness of sins, the strengthening of our faith, and as an expression of the unity of our faith. ~ 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 Water Baptism As Christians, we believe that those who believe and are baptized have eternal life. Jesus gives us the command to go and baptize all people. Baptism unites us with Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. We believe this promise is for everyone: man, woman and child. ~ 1 Peter 3:21 Unity and Fellowship We believe that corporate fellowship promotes encouragement and unity in the faith among fellow believers in Christ. ~ Matthew 18:20; Hebrews 10:25 Daily Prayer for Self and Each Other - James 5:16; Jude 1:20 Daily Scripture Reading - 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17 Gift of Service - 1 Peter 4:10 Financial Support - Leviticus 27:30 |
